Cotton Mor Woven Saree — Purple
For the woman who wears purple to a festival because she meant to, not because it was the first thing she found. Deep purple cotton with a woven Mor pattern — peacock and tree worked across the broad pallu, floral buti distributed across the body, contrast border with the peacock motif framed by a leaf bel. The colour of considered choices and quiet authority.
What’s in the box
- Saree: 5.5 metres
- Blouse piece: 0.8 metres (attached, purple cotton with floral buti woven throughout, leaf bel and stripes border)
Fabric & Weave
The Mor design uses a supplementary weft weaving technique — peacock, leaf, and floral motifs are woven directly into the cotton ground by inserting additional weft threads alongside the base weave. No printing, no embroidery. Each motif is structurally part of the fabric, built row by row on the loom. Cotton ground: breathable, easy to drape, and comfortable through long festive occasions.
